Southcoast Conferences

The University identified over 4 years ago that there was an opportunity to expand both their summer commercial income but also establish a year round conference centre. The team work alongside the existing team and have successfully doubled the revenue, created a distinctive brand of Southcoast Conferences, developed a year round conference offer with support SLA's, and currently developing a range of event management services.

Iconic Bath

The iconic Bath Assembly Rooms are marketed with the Pump Rooms and Baths with incumbent caterers. The management team required specialist conference, event and market positioning advice from the Onset team giving consideration to the feasibility of future management and operational strategic direction. This was particularly interesting given the diverse cross sector usage of the sites and heritage context.

Eynsham Hall Conference Centre

Establish a brand

Cathedral Group PLC purchased Eynsham Hall and Sundridge Park Conference Onset Solutions Ltd. Onset very quickly helped establish a brand, marketing collateral, social media and electronic marketing which was effectively used to market to clients and successfully generated the projected incomes. Ensuing a smooth and effective hand over to an established team.

Complete venue finding service

The Onset Directors are also Directors of Key Venues (formally Key Locations) which operate with a core team of five increasing to over 20 for key events. They provide a complete venue finding service and work with many of the UK's leading organisations such as IPSOS Mori, JTI, BP and many charities. They also operate two further stands of event management services and in Feb 2014 are launching their procurement consultancy to corporate organisations analysing their conference and events expenditures, for which early interest has been secured.

Cardiff Metropolitan University

Feasibility study

Previously having worked for Cardiff Metropolitan University the Onset team were commissioned to review the feasibility of expanding their existing conference and events resources including consideration a new conference centre build opportunity.
